the team

While Chantal and Sean lead the studio, The Food Group wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible creatives who support them.

The Food Group is a full-service food-focused production studio founded by Chantal Lambert and Sean Lambert — partners in life and in work — who share a love of creativity, collaboration, and making food look beautiful.

After completing the Culinary Management program at George Brown College, Chantal worked in some of Toronto’s most exciting kitchens — from fine dining to small independent restaurants — gaining hands-on experience cooking, baking, serving, and managing. Originally drawn to photography, she discovered food styling as the perfect blend of her passions: food, storytelling, and visual design. For over 30 years, she has styled food for print, packaging, advertising, and motion projects, helping both startups and national brands tell their stories through food. Her passion for food trends and approachable home cooking fuels her recipe development work — always aiming to create dishes that are simple, delicious, and visually stunning. She leads creative development, pre-production, art direction, and recipe development, making clients feel both excited and supported through her detail-oriented approach.

Together, Chantal and Sean launched The Food Group, a creative studio born from their desire to support small businesses and fellow creatives. With family roots in entrepreneurship, they understand the value of helping brands stand out in a crowded market — and they’re committed to doing so with honesty, collaboration, and care. They believe that finding the right creative partner shouldn't feel intimidating. At The Food Group, every client is treated like a collaborator.  The Food Group has a wildly talented team, a reputation for producing beautiful, impactful food content quickly and efficiently.  Whether it’s a last-minute requrest or a full scale campaign, their team is known for making things easy, even when the project is complex.

Giving back is central to their mission. The Food Group donates all possible food from productions to local charities, including soup kitchens, shelters, community fridges, and halfway houses — helping combat food insecurity in the city.

At its heart, The Food Group is a place where creativity thrives, food is respected, and people matter. Whether you're a client, an intern, or a fellow creative, you'll find a team that’s warm, honest, generous with knowledge — and always focused on making food beautiful.

Sean spent over a decade in service and finance in corporate America, before stepping into the creative world with a builder’s mind and a producer’s heart. Whether he's rigging for liquid shots, crafting custom surfaces, or managing post-production workflows, Sean is the studio’s lead on post-production, project logistics, budgets, timelines, and set builds — and he supports on-set during shoot days to keep everything running smoothly. He keeps every project running smoothly, balancing creativity with practicality, and ensuring budgets are respected without sacrificing the vision. While Chantal moves on to the next creative idea, Sean steps in to oversee final file delivery and client support after the shoot wraps. He’s known for being calm, precise, and quietly tenacious when solving creative challenges or making things technically possible.

Clients often say they “make things easy” — that the studio gives them exactly what they need, even when they don’t quite know what that is yet.

But The Food Group is more than just a studio — it’s a place where people are welcomed and supported, even if they don’t become clients. Chantal and Sean believe in sharing knowledge freely, empowering brands and creatives to advocate for themselves. They mentor interns, support emerging talent with free access to studio space, and provide real-world experience for students in culinary, photography, and advertising programs.
